About the School

Founded on 14th of June, 2014 by Vinayak Deokar, Mahatma Gandhi School, is a free and supportive English medium school. We are currently catering to the education of 366 children of prisoners, daily wagers, domestic workers, single mothers and orphans residing in the slums of and around Yerwada in Pune. We are continually endeavouring to uplift the underprivileged children of the society through means of qualitative education, as we trust, they are of paramount importance and form the essence of a country. We deem it our moral duty and privilege to be able to play a part in and sculpt the future of the disadvantaged.
